Cannabis lollipopping is a cultivation technique that involves removing the lower branches and growth nodes of a cannabis plant in order to stimulate growth in the upper branches. This can be done at any stage of the plant's life cycle, but is typically performed when the plant is young in order to encourage lateral growth. By doing so, you will produce a cannabis plant with more bud sites and a higher yield.
Why should I lollipop my plants?
Standard benefits of cannabis pinching are the same as topping, and include:
- Increased yield

- Greater potency
- Avoid popcorn buds
When should I lollipop my plants?
Lollipopping should occur just prior to the flowering phase of growth.
How should I lollipop my plants?
1. Choose the cannabis plant you want to pinch.
2. Using a clean shears, trim away the bottom most branches and growth nodes on the bottom half of the plant.
3. Remove any branches and leaves not receiving sunlight at the top half of the plant.
4. Allow 3 days for the plant to recover before entering flowering stage.
